I did my research on the internet for our given marketing, and found a list of local advertising/marketing companies that I would like to partner with possibly. First, I would like to say that I really don’t have to, but I want to be able to work with all of the great companies in the Shreveport-Bossier City area.

The way of doing that from my years of experience is through networking, and piggybacking off of someone’s clientele, database and etc. The old saying is that there is power in numbers, and the companies I’m listing below are just a few that I’m looking to do business with.

Now, some may choose to do business with me, and others may turn their back on me thinking that I’m no competition to them. No matter what, my goal is to help every single one of these companies provide another great avenue of marketing for their current and future clients.

I’m even looking to bring all of these companies together, and put together one of the most talked about local marketing workshops ever in north Louisiana. Oh yea, my goal is to bring in those thousands of businesses in our surrounding area, and educate them on all parts of marketing. What I want to do is give away as much free information as possible to those who want to dominate that real estate industry, or that tanning salon marketing right here in Shreveport-Bossier.

Educating business owners is what you have to do if you want to bring them on as clients. Believe me, I’ve been doing this for years and this is the reason why I have tons of clients all across the world who love my services, and are leading the way in their local city of domination.

Coming Home

Now is the time to really take this to an all new level by first reaching out to the already established advertising/marketing companies. First before I get into what I have to offer to you, I would like to go over the research that I found on most of all our local advertising/marketing companies in Shreveport-Bossier City.

Just to let you know, I’m friends with some of the top marketing guys in the world. If I start naming them, it may take up mostly all of this article. But, what I’m trying to say is that I’ve done and seen it all when it comes to marketing online and offline. There is no industry that I can’t dominate. “Even this one.”

Al I have to do is come up with the marketing game plan, which is completely easy to do since I’ve done the research on the companies that are already here. I know that what your guys are offering versus the things that I’m doing for my clients, are pretty much like day and night…let me explain.

First, I did keyword research on “Shreveport Advertising Agencies,” which I came across the companies listed above from page 1 to 3. I did this search because if I was looking for a company to help grow my business in this city, then I would Google that term.

So, I compiled the list of sites, and carefully took about 2 minutes each to scan over their websites. Yea, I only need about two minutes because I’ve built and seen so many websites since 1999, that I know exactly what to look for to analyze any website’s functionality.

Horrible SEO

I’m not going to name which sites that have horrible on page SEO, so don’t look for me to say that. I’m just here to point out something that I think needs to be changed if they don’t want me to out rank them.

Many of the sites titles were not locally targeted to this given market. I even saw one that had a title of their website as the URL. What I saw really had me confused, because this same company, if I’m not mistaken, was offering website design. I didn’t get that one. I really didn’t.

There is at least 90% of the websites that are not SEO friendly, and they’re ranking in the spot that they’re in. Plus, what makes that even more crazy is that I saw that some of them offered online marketing and search marketing.

When I see companies offering search marketing, 9 times out of 10 it’s Google Adwords.

Side Note: I was one of the first people to ever use Google Adwords back in the early 2000’s, and wrote a short book on it back then to teach people how to dominate their local market with well targeted campaigns. Ok, back to the content.

Adwords is a good program for small businesses who know how to use it. It can get really expensive if the people running your account are not doing the right research on your local market.

So overall, I found that most of the advertising/marketing companies in Shreveport-Bossier City are more centered towards promotion and advertising. I really didn’t find too many of them focusing on the marketing side of growing a business online and offline.

So, their clients have to continue to pay for advertising as long as they want to see results, which is very expensive. So, my avenue is totally opposite of the way some of theses companies do business, which is the reason why I can dominate the market in no time with a completely different approach.

What I Bring to the Table

My background is in SEO, which is the #1 way to dominate any local market. What I do is that I’m all about dominating my local market by using the power of the internet. Every time a potential client calls me, I always tell them that it’s my job to:

Save you money
Do the research
Bring you results

These are the three elements that I see so many businesses not focusing on when dealing with clients. They only want to charge them thousands of dollars with little to no results. Not me…I know that doing the right research will allow me to know how far my clients budget will take them. I do the research, and find out everything there is to know about the local competition and go out, and build my online presence 10x more stronger than them.

What I’ve done for my clients, is that I built a local marketing platform for them. It doesn’t matter what industry you’re in, my local marketing services will help you dominate no questions asked.

All of my clients get their own local marketing account, where they get monthly reports on their business when it comes to their growth online. I don’t do adwords, because it’s really not the best option for small businesses who are struggling in today’s economy.

I focus on the organic searches, which is really harder to rank in if you don’t know what you’re doing. My clients have three options of getting ranked in the search engines:

Side Note: One of the sites that I looked at above, was offering video production, which is extremely well done, so I give them an A+ on that. But, the SEO for the videos for YouTube, was extremely horrible when it comes to the title of the videos in the description.

I’m not going to name the video, but if it was done right, the client would be getting tons of calls from people wanting to buy their product. Only if the advertising/marketing company would have optimized the video right. So Sad for the client.

Back to the content…

So what is great about this is that, they’re able to see month after month of their growth in the search engines. They’re happy to be able to dominate their local market without spending tons of money on advertising. But, I can explain this process in more details if you decide to contact me.

What I do for my clients is priceless, because we all have good relationships, and just work together on grow their business to the massive. The thing is that this is just the tip of the iceberg of things that I do for my clients, are the things that I’m looking to do for Shreveport-Bossier City.

I would like to say that over the years I’ve seen my share of thousands of websites. From the static websites, to the most well designed websites in the world. So you can say that I’ve been around the block when it comes to website, and can say that I’ve built hundreds of them over the years.

Saying this, I can easily tell anyone if they were over charged for a website that was created by some web designer. So being from North Louisiana and being located on the out skirts of Shreveport-Bossier City, I decided to do a little research on the local so called website design companies in this surrounding area.

Before getting into what I found when I completed my research, I would first like to say that my name is Antonio Coleman. Shreveport – Bossier City Web Designers (Options)

Before I talk about how to choose the best Shreveport – Bossier City web design company, I first want to explain to you my findings when I did a little digging. I compiled a list of about 5 web design companies in the 30 mile radius of Shreveport-Bossier City.

Now I’m not going to name any of these companies, but if you do a little Google search, they should not be too hard to find. I took about 10 minutes each to look over their websites from top to bottom. I really didn’t care too much about their design because that’s not a factor when it comes to growing your business online.

I looked at the clients that they worked with that they setup websites for. So I looked, and looked some more and found out a lot about the certain clients that they were going after. Most of them were high dollar clients such as doctors, lawyers and dentists just to name a few.

These are the businesses that have lots of money to spend, so asking them about getting a website and them accepting it will mean big business for them. The sites that I saw on most of these websites are well over $1,000 to create. To be honest, I think that a lot of them were maybe over $2500 coming from how custom some of the design are.

Most of these sites included well in detail videos of the clients place of business, which I know for a fact that it’s expensive to make. Believe me, I know because I’ve being doing video for over 10 years now, and understand how much time goes into shooting and editing.

Overall, I saw that a lot of these sites took a bit of work to create, but not so much that it warrants spending thousands of dollars on…..and here is why.

The Hidden Truth about Websites

Mostly all of these websites looked good, well designed and pretty much all that you would ask for in a website..Right. Truth is that I’m an SEO guy and for those who don’t know what SEO stands for, “Search Engine Optimization.” This is nothing more than creating content in a form of a website, page, post or video to get ranked into the search engine for your targeted audience to find you.

Meaning…if someone searched for “Shreveport Dentists,” and your website is not optimized right like a good majority of the websites that I’ve seen, then you lose out on those potential clients. Hate to tell some of you that your websites are mainly useless unless you can get your whole entire website optimized for terms that people will be typing in locally to find your services.

Now, I would say that some sites were done correctly on about a 70% level. Meaning, there are still horrible issues that Google doesn’t like about your website that must be fixed if you want to gain more clients who are searching for your services online.

I have noticed that a big portion of these sites were done to please the eye, versus to help you get clients. It was their job to make the car look nice and clean, so that everyone can marvel over it. The issue is that, the car that people are looking at doesn’t even have an engine in it.

So, how would this nice looking car get me from point A to point B if it isn’t equipped with an engine. I try to wrap my head around that subject also when I see websites done in the matter of just making them look good.

Whether you know it or not, the search engines don’t see images, 3D graphs or videos. No matter how awesome your site is, if it’s not SEO optimized you pretty much just bought a car without an engine..if you get it.

Did They Over Charge You?

The simple answer is Yes and No. Reason behind this is because it’s their job to give you an excellent website for the money you spend. They want that site to pop when potential clients view it. So, in the form of you getting found in Shreveport through a Google search for:

“Shreveport Dentist”
“Shreveport Lawyer”
“Shreveport Tanning”

It’s pretty much not their job unless you go to someone who can build you an awesome, simple website that is search engine friendly. Basically, they over charge you in my mind because they sold you the car but kept the engine for safe keeping.

My recommendation is to find a Shreveport – Bossier City web designer who can pretty much do all of the necessary things to get your site looking good, and also in a position to capture thousands of people searching for your services in the Shreveport – Bossier City area. Just make sure that they do SEO and Web design, but if they don’t do both, think about going somewhere else, or you will just be wasting your money and time.

I’m Living in Minden, La, Broke, Hating My Job, and Frustrated

The title of this post hits home for a lot of people who live in my home town of Minden, La, and the surrounding areas such as, Shreveport and Bossier City, just to name a few.

Here on my website I usually talk about small business marketing, local marketing and just merely how to grow a business to the massive. But today, I wanted to open you guys eyes on a matter that really hurts to talk about, but I feel as though I’m the one to bring it to life.

What I’m really looking forward to, is how many times this will be shared on our social networks such, as Facebook and Twitter? I say this because every time I’m on there, I see us as people sharing crap that makes absolutely no sense at all.

We share and comment on things so that we can get it out to our friends, so that they can chime in on it to keep the discussion going. Besides that, I’m just looking forward to hearing what people have to say in the comment sections below. Hopefully, what I say hits home in a way that it wake us up, and we start doing better and wanting more out of life.

Hopefully, after you read this post, we will all start taking action getting ourselves out of what we call poverty. Just understand this..

We are all one or two pay checks away from being homeless..think about that for a moment.

The Story

I’m writing this for those people in Minden, La, but this can also be related to anyone in the world no matter the state, city or town. It’s just that I wanted to personally send this out to those that I know, and care about in a city that I’ve been in for the last 32 years.

Our city is no different than the other hundreds or so places that I have visited in my lifetime. I say that we have maybe 15k to 20k people at any given time living here. The history of Minden, La, began back in the 1800’s just as of a lot of local surrounding cites did back in those days.

Over the years, we have managed to grow into somewhat of a small city, and when you hear people from Homer, Sibley, and Cotton Valley say that they’re going to the city to do grocery shopping or something, they’re mostly speaking about Minden.

Even though we have a lot of big brands in town such as Wal-Mart, and a big number of the nation wide fast food places, we are really just an average place to live that has just enough here to keep people around.

We have some manufacturing and distributing businesses in town, such as Firebond and Coca-Cola. There are a number of the family owned places to work at that have been up town for too many years to name. So our city is an “OK” city to live in, but not the place to become successful.

Let Me Explain..

Oh yea, you can go to school here, graduate from high school, and be given three choices:

Go to college
Go to find a job
Start a business

Go to College

Lots of people go to college, and you won’t see them for a couple of years, and the next thing you know they’re right back here. Now, that can be for many reasons, but just know that they’re back here having to make tough decisions.

Most of them go and get crazy amounts of loans that at that time that seemed right, but honestly it’s a trap that will catch up with you in the long run. Now you’re back in good old Minden, La, and already in debt at the age of 21 looking for a job. Yea looking for a job in Minden. Crazy Huh

Let me ask you a question for a moment? Have you ever wondered why there are so many people in Minden, La that own businesses, and they’re not even a part of the American culture? Not saying that they are not American, just saying that a lot of people who are not considered Americans, own businesses not only in our city but all across America. Why is That?

First, you have to look at it on a level of government grants and loans that people can qualify for. If you have a business plan and so-called good credit, you can possibly get funding for a business. So the question is, why are there so many of us not owning these businesses in our city compared to others?

The answer is really simple if you take a moment to sit back and think about. We are taught here in America to go to school, which is college, and get a “GOOD JOB.” So, straight out of high school we go directly into debt by paying for school. At the end of the day, when you include books, loans, and just mere living, you can be into thousands of dollars of debt before you even walk across that stage. Sad Huh

Now as a college student you’re struggling, so you go out and do what..get a job

Got to find a job

Things I’m going to share will probably hit home to most of you, but heck believe me it has happened to all of us. So, living in Minden, La, the job market is 100% bad no matter which way you look at it. Here in a few I will break down the numbers, and you will see why a job in Minden is honestly a waste of time if you want to really be successful.

So you seek out a job, and maybe you find one that’s paying you on average, let’s say $400 a week. This is the medium of the number, and I understand some people make more or less but this is a good number to start from. When it comes to our local market of Minden, LA and the surrounding area, you can expect to see these numbers.

Now you’re working a full time job at 21, 22 or 23 years old. For some reason or another, you’re not in school anymore. This is usually the route for most people who didn’t finish school, but even if they do finish school what I’m about to explain stills hold truth. Basically, we are bringing home about let’s say $1,400 a month after taxes. Yea, you realize real quick that you’re working for yourself and some guy named Uncle Sam.

You have been working for a while, and at this point you still have decent credit. You’re making good money, so you go out and buy that brand new car.

Car – $350 monthly – on average

Insurance – $150 Monthly

That $1,400 now drops down to only $900 measly dollars a month, working full time for someone else. But wait, we ‘re young adults so we want to act, feel and live like so. Now we start listening to the broke people in our family about buying a house early, or we take the road of an apartment.

No matter which route you take on this one, you’re still losing at the end of the day. Why, that mortgage or that rent will run you in today’s market on a simple one bed apartment or house around $550 per month on average.

Home – $550

Wow, now my money drops down to $350. How in world am I going to live off of that crap? But wait I haven’t even included the following:

House Gas
Health Insurance
Dental Insurance
Lights
Gas
Cable
OMG (Food)
Student Loans
and just simply living

Hey, you only have $350 left to cover all of this, which is not even near bout possible. There is no way that you can make a living in Minden, or anywhere else with those numbers. But 98% percent of our family and friends live like this, pay check to pay check.

These numbers get even worse the less money you make. Please believe that even if you make a lot more, you’re still spending more so the struggle continues. Plus at the end of the day, you keep running around Minden hoping to find that next big job..Ha Ha Ha

You’re just wasting your time if you think you’re going to find that dream job. It’s not going to happen here due to the fact that the cost of living versus the paying scale evens out. Meaning, that what ever you make will continue to go out as you get your pay check due to wanting to live just like the neighbors down the road.

We have to get that new car, even if the old one that we have is paid off, because we have to show that we’re coming up in the world. Not wanting people to know that you’re struggling at the same time. All this starts from the day we graduate from high school, the years go by, and the next thing we know, we’re 30 years old broke, no job, and hating our job and frustrated.

At the end of the day, life just sucks you up and spits you out. Your credit is bad now because you’ve fallen behind on loans, student loans, car notes, and etc.. For the rest of your life living in Minden, La or even the surrounding areas, you’re doing what I call “Chasing a Ghost.”

You work and search until you find that dream job, but that dream job never comes. For one, the town that we live in, and because we were told wrong a long time ago. Someone told us go to school, get a good education, and get a good job. Yea, thats the way you do it. But, other people taught their kids to start businesses straight out of high school, from opening up Hotels, restaurants, convenience stores, and etc…

How are they able to do this you may ask? For one, they have some form of good credit because they came out the gate not being in debt like we are. So the opportunity to succeed for them becomes greater, and our success drops faster due to the fact we have crushed our credit over the years.

This why you see more and more businesses being owned by other people versus the everyday American.

Start a Business

In this section I’m looking to bring all of this home in hopes of you taking some action in your life today. MY goal is to only educate people on what to do, and how to do it if you don’t want to become that old person wishing that you would have made some tougher choices when you were young.

First, I would like to say that I love my home town of Minden, La, and I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else in the world. But, the truth is that if you think you’re going to make a good relaxing living here, then you’re crazy. The only people in Minden living well are those people who you are working for, and those who own businesses.

Realize that having a job is all good, and I’m a big believer in building your foundation first. What you have to do to get to where you want to be. You can have that job in Minden, but after work go out and create something on your own.

If you spend 8 hours making the business owners in Minden rich, then take another 8 hours making yourself wealthy. But, if you’re working 8 hours a day, struggling to pay bills, and trying to live like the Jones’s, then you’re a fool. If you love your job, you’re a fool. I say this because, how can you love something that you don’t even own? Those people can fire you in a heart beat, so make the effort to create something that you own, and I hope to help you with that.

You have to make some changes if you want to be happy with yourself. I can’t tell you how many people I talk to in Minden or the surrounding areas who are waiting for retirement, and can’t wait for that 401k to kick in. People are banking on social security to take care of them once they reach 65 and older.

That’s Crazy

Successful business owners care less about social security and 401k. Only poor broke people care about those big pay days, which honestly are just pennies. I’m 32 years old, and looking for success now, not 33 years down the road when I’m old, wrinkled up, and tired. Who does that?

I care about my people so much that I want to help, and those who live in Minden have to wake up and smell the roses. If you are tired of living check to check to check, then you must make an effort to change your life starting today.

For those of you who don’t know me, and from the class of 2001 of good old Minden High. Just wanted to say I played basketball, and had a pretty good time if I must say so. I met a lot of great people over the years, some good some bad. But no matter what, I love all people because in the business I’m in you have to.

So, from the moment I graduated from high school, I have been educating myself for years on marketing online and offline. It’s not going to get better. That boss is not going to all of a sudden start being your friend. Your raise will still be a piece of crap that’s pretty much disrespectful.

I’m willing to educate people on how to be successful even if you stay in our small town of Minden, La. Yes, people say all of the time that there are no jobs here, but I could care less because I’m not trying find another job in Minden. Stop thinking on the level of finding some income to take care of you. Take the approach of controlling your on world by making your own money.

Finally, I would like to say that I wish the best for the people of Minden, La. Teach your kids about business versus working for someone else if you want them to be successful. I take pride of owning something that no one can take away from me, which is a really good feeling.

My hope is that this gets shared all over social media just like the crazy videos that y’all share that has nothing to do with having success. We share things on social media that doesn’t add value to our lives, but we over look things that can change our lives.

How I Ranked Locally

About two weeks ago I started an experiment of how to go about ranking locally for any keyword. I did a post of Shreveport chiropractors which included tips on how to dominate that local market online. I found out that hundreds of people search for this keyword “Shreveport chiropractors”, so I decided it would be wise to write up a quick post on this topic.

What I was really looking to do is was optimize my page in a manner surrounding that keyword so I can rank easily. Plus, I wanted to add some valuable content that if any of the local chiropractors in the Shreveport area should ever come across that post will find it helpful and maybe implement some of my marketing techniques.

Basically, the post was jam packed of things any local chiropractor in the Shreveport area could use to at least start to get their website ranking higher than the competition. This post just mainly came down to me educating them on the fact that the old way of marketing isn’t as effective as 5 to 10 years ago. I wanted to show them some useful online tools that I use and many other marketers use to build a presence online.

Overall, I provided something for free that might just help any of those local companies start the process for success. My goal wasn’t to out rank some of the existing websites…but that’s what happens.

I’m on Page 2 of Google

I would like to say to any company, individual, or just any average marketer, who wants to dominate their local market, is that if you build it then they might just come. You have to ask yourself what people are searching for in my local market and how I can get in front of those people. This is what I did when I created the post for the local chiropractors in Shreveport.

I did my research on how many people are searching for something in that local market, and I served that market with valuable information. Me being the person, I know that none of the Shreveport chiropractors were implementing seo on their websites, and then I knew there was a chance for me to out rank them.

Remember: Any industry that doesn’t have to do with online marketing, and building a business through the likes of seo, email marketing, and networking are likely good candidates to out rank online. These website owners do not know about seo and how many people are searching online for their product or service. They just neglect starting a process of building their brand online which leaves the gates open for me.

Now, this gate being opened allows me to out rank them or allow one of these local companies to hire me so that I can move their website past all the local competition. When I did a search for Shreveport chiropractors, and came to find out that the post I did two weeks ago was on the second page in the 19th position…I was excited.

All I did was make sure that I used that keyword “Shreveport chiropractors” in my title of the page and I used it a few times in the body of the post. Besides that, there was no other form of seo done to the page such as building links to it. Since this was a local search for a certain industry, it was easier to rank in the top 20 websites.

If I was going after the keyword “chiropractor”, there would be no way at all that I would even be ranked in the top 200 websites. The only way I would ever be able to move up for a one word keyword like that is to do heavy lifting backlinking over a period of time. Then again it still will be hard to reach #1.

So What Does This Mean?

First, this means that if you’re a small business owner out there, then you best get online today and start marketing your business. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of people searching for your services or products out there. All you have to do is implement the right steps on getting your company website in front of those people before your competitors do.

I’m not even in the chiropractors business and really have no interest in it at all. I’m #19 in an industry where the research I did came back that 260 people in a “broad match” searches for Shreveport chiropractors. Now, if I wanted to I could implement seo to the page and get it to #1 for that term.

Now, I would be out ranking all the chiropractors in Shreveport, La and getting all the traffic to my website. What good would that do for me because actually these people who will search for chiropractors won’t find my page relevant because their looking for chiropractors offices that could help their needs.

Light Build Moment:

What I can do as an online marketer to help any of the local chiropractors in this city, is to contact them when I hit the #1 spot. After I‘m in the #1 spot for about a month to be able to collect stats of how much traffic I’m really getting, then I can make that call or send all the chiropractors in Shreveport an email.

Now, from here I have many options such as asking them do they want to advertise or sponsor that page with a banner to their website. From there, they would be able to get the people who search for that keyword and that ends up on my page to possibly come over to their website.

I can do this just for one business or do it for all of the chiropractors businesses in Shreveport by having them in a rotation program. This is where when the page is seen by a new visitor it will show a different chiropractors banner. The options are endless for me as a business owner to help those who don’t have that presence online.

Overall, I just wanted to show you guys how easy it is to rank locally no matter what industry you’re in. If you’re in the day care, auto mechanic, dental, lawn care, or even the florist business, just know if you want to dominate your local market then it first starts with you.
