One of the most powerful ways of marketing your business for free in Shreveport, La, because of the low competition level, is video marketing. You know about YouTube, which is the #2 search engine in the world, and yes they’re a search engine.

All of my clients across the world were introduced into video marketing by me. None of them even knew it was possible to use video as a way to dominate their local market. What you can do is create a short but simple video for your business, and get it posted on your YouTube channel.

What we will have to do is create a simple video surrounding your company name, and the keyword people will type in to find a tanning bed salon in Shreveport. The title of the video would be like this so that the search engine will place it right, and for the thousands of people who Google this to be able to find you.

Now, having a title like this will force the search engines to have you come up whether it’s on the 1st, 2nd or even 3rd page depending upon the SEO for that video. Plus, what people will see is your company name and phone number in the title.

Heck, sometimes people won’t even look at the video, they will just call the number because it’s there on the page. So you have to think about if it wasn’t there, then who else would be getting that business? Just something to think about.

One of the most unforgettable ways to market your business that too many small business just don’t do, is the tactic of giving something away “of value.” Now some businesses get this confused saying that they give away a pen, sucker or something that the customer cares less about.

You want to give out something that makes them say WOOOOOW. If you do this, then two things will happen for your business:

  1. They will love you to death and start coming more often, because they see the value that you put into your business and customers.
  2. They will go out and tell more people about your business, which will get more people to Google your business, and come in to take advantage of your great service and giveaways.

You see that, I said that they will Google your business. This is not always the case, but in most situations it is the first thing that people do before doing business with anyone. Remember what I said earlier about having that online presence, so that when people Google your business, they will be able to find great content from you “if you have a website.”

What I just listed above is not even the tip of the iceberg of marketing your business. These are just the first things that I stress for my clients for us to do from day one to get them on the right page. Honestly, doing the above strategies is enough to get you 10x as much exposure as the other local businesses in your city.
