Heck, sometimes people won’t even look at the video, they will just call the number because it’s there on the page. So you have to think about if it wasn’t there, then who else would be getting that business? Just something to think about.

One of the most unforgettable ways to market your business that too many small business just don’t do, is the tactic of giving something away “of value.” Now some businesses get this confused saying that they give away a pen, sucker or something that the customer cares less about.

You want to give out something that makes them say WOOOOOW. If you do this, then two things will happen for your business:

  1. They will love you to death and start coming more often, because they see the value that you put into your business and customers.
  2. They will go out and tell more people about your business, which will get more people to Google your business, and come in to take advantage of your great service and giveaways.

You see that, I said that they will Google your business. This is not always the case, but in most situations it is the first thing that people do before doing business with anyone. Remember what I said earlier about having that online presence, so that when people Google your business, they will be able to find great content from you “if you have a website.”

Coming Home

Now is the time to really take this to an all new level by first reaching out to the already established advertising/marketing companies. First before I get into what I have to offer to you, I would like to go over the research that I found on most of all our local advertising/marketing companies in Shreveport-Bossier City.

Just to let you know, I’m friends with some of the top marketing guys in the world. If I start naming them, it may take up mostly all of this article. But, what I’m trying to say is that I’ve done and seen it all when it comes to marketing online and offline. There is no industry that I can’t dominate. “Even this one.”

Al I have to do is come up with the marketing game plan, which is completely easy to do since I’ve done the research on the companies that are already here. I know that what your guys are offering versus the things that I’m doing for my clients, are pretty much like day and night…let me explain.

First, I did keyword research on “Shreveport Advertising Agencies,” which I came across the companies listed above from page 1 to 3. I did this search because if I was looking for a company to help grow my business in this city, then I would Google that term.

So, I compiled the list of sites, and carefully took about 2 minutes each to scan over their websites. Yea, I only need about two minutes because I’ve built and seen so many websites since 1999, that I know exactly what to look for to analyze any website’s functionality.

Horrible SEO

I’m not going to name which sites that have horrible on page SEO, so don’t look for me to say that. I’m just here to point out something that I think needs to be changed if they don’t want me to out rank them.

Many of the sites titles were not locally targeted to this given market. I even saw one that had a title of their website as the URL. What I saw really had me confused, because this same company, if I’m not mistaken, was offering website design. I didn’t get that one. I really didn’t.

There is at least 90% of the websites that are not SEO friendly, and they’re ranking in the spot that they’re in. Plus, what makes that even more crazy is that I saw that some of them offered online marketing and search marketing.

When I see companies offering search marketing, 9 times out of 10 it’s Google Adwords.

Side Note: I was one of the first people to ever use Google Adwords back in the early 2000’s, and wrote a short book on it back then to teach people how to dominate their local market with well targeted campaigns. Ok, back to the content.

Adwords is a good program for small businesses who know how to use it. It can get really expensive if the people running your account are not doing the right research on your local market.

So overall, I found that most of the advertising/marketing companies in Shreveport-Bossier City are more centered towards promotion and advertising. I really didn’t find too many of them focusing on the marketing side of growing a business online and offline.

So, their clients have to continue to pay for advertising as long as they want to see results, which is very expensive. So, my avenue is totally opposite of the way some of theses companies do business, which is the reason why I can dominate the market in no time with a completely different approach.

What I Bring to the Table

My background is in SEO, which is the #1 way to dominate any local market. What I do is that I’m all about dominating my local market by using the power of the internet. Every time a potential client calls me, I always tell them that it’s my job to:

  • Save you money
  • Do the research
  • Bring you results

These are the three elements that I see so many businesses not focusing on when dealing with clients. They only want to charge them thousands of dollars with little to no results. Not me…I know that doing the right research will allow me to know how far my clients budget will take them. I do the research, and find out everything there is to know about the local competition and go out, and build my online presence 10x more stronger than them.

What I’ve done for my clients, is that I built a local marketing platform for them. It doesn’t matter what industry you’re in, my local marketing services will help you dominate no questions asked.

All of my clients get their own local marketing account, where they get monthly reports on their business when it comes to their growth online. I don’t do adwords, because it’s really not the best option for small businesses who are struggling in today’s economy.

I focus on the organic searches, which is really harder to rank in if you don’t know what you’re doing. My clients have three options of getting ranked in the search engines:

  • Website
  • Videos
  • Profiles

Side Note: One of the sites that I looked at above, was offering video production, which is extremely well done, so I give them an A+ on that. But, the SEO for the videos for YouTube, was extremely horrible when it comes to the title of the videos in the description.

I’m not going to name the video, but if it was done right, the client would be getting tons of calls from people wanting to buy their product. Only if the advertising/marketing company would have optimized the video right. So Sad for the client.

Back to the content…

So what is great about this is that, they’re able to see month after month of their growth in the search engines. They’re happy to be able to dominate their local market without spending tons of money on advertising. But, I can explain this process in more details if you decide to contact me.

What I do for my clients is priceless, because we all have good relationships, and just work together on grow their business to the massive. The thing is that this is just the tip of the iceberg of things that I do for my clients, are the things that I’m looking to do for Shreveport-Bossier City.

I would like to say that over the years I’ve seen my share of thousands of websites. From the static websites, to the most well designed websites in the world. So you can say that I’ve been around the block when it comes to website, and can say that I’ve built hundreds of them over the years.

Saying this, I can easily tell anyone if they were over charged for a website that was created by some web designer. So being from North Louisiana and being located on the out skirts of Shreveport-Bossier City, I decided to do a little research on the local so called website design companies in this surrounding area.

Before I talk about how to choose the best Shreveport – Bossier City web design company, I first want to explain to you my findings when I did a little digging. I compiled a list of about 5 web design companies in the 30 mile radius of Shreveport-Bossier City.

Now I’m not going to name any of these companies, but if you do a little Google search, they should not be too hard to find. I took about 10 minutes each to look over their websites from top to bottom. I really didn’t care too much about their design because that’s not a factor when it comes to growing your business online.

I looked at the clients that they worked with that they setup websites for. So I looked, and looked some more and found out a lot about the certain clients that they were going after. Most of them were high dollar clients such as doctors, lawyers and dentists just to name a few.

These are the businesses that have lots of money to spend, so asking them about getting a website and them accepting it will mean big business for them. The sites that I saw on most of these websites are well over $1,000 to create. To be honest, I think that a lot of them were maybe over $2500 coming from how custom some of the design are.

Most of these sites included well in detail videos of the clients place of business, which I know for a fact that it’s expensive to make. Believe me, I know because I’ve being doing video for over 10 years now, and understand how much time goes into shooting and editing.

Overall, I saw that a lot of these sites took a bit of work to create, but not so much that it warrants spending thousands of dollars on…..and here is why.

The Hidden Truth about Websites

Mostly all of these websites looked good, well designed and pretty much all that you would ask for in a website..Right. Truth is that I’m an SEO guy and for those who don’t know what SEO stands for, “Search Engine Optimization.” This is nothing more than creating content in a form of a website, page, post or video to get ranked into the search engine for your targeted audience to find you.

Meaning…if someone searched for “Shreveport Dentists,” and your website is not optimized right like a good majority of the websites that I’ve seen, then you lose out on those potential clients. Hate to tell some of you that your websites are mainly useless unless you can get your whole entire website optimized for terms that people will be typing in locally to find your services.

Now, I would say that some sites were done correctly on about a 70% level. Meaning, there are still horrible issues that Google doesn’t like about your website that must be fixed if you want to gain more clients who are searching for your services online.

I have noticed that a big portion of these sites were done to please the eye, versus to help you get clients. It was their job to make the car look nice and clean, so that everyone can marvel over it. The issue is that, the car that people are looking at doesn’t even have an engine in it.

So, how would this nice looking car get me from point A to point B if it isn’t equipped with an engine. I try to wrap my head around that subject also when I see websites done in the matter of just making them look good.

Whether you know it or not, the search engines don’t see images, 3D graphs or videos. No matter how awesome your site is, if it’s not SEO optimized you pretty much just bought a car without an engine..if you get it.

Did They Over Charge You?

The simple answer is Yes and No. Reason behind this is because it’s their job to give you an excellent website for the money you spend. They want that site to pop when potential clients view it. So, in the form of you getting found in Shreveport through a Google search for:

  • Shreveport Tanning”

It’s pretty much not their job unless you go to someone who can build you an awesome, simple website that is search engine friendly. Basically, they over charge you in my mind because they sold you the car but kept the engine for safe keeping.

My recommendation is to find a Shreveport – Bossier City web designer who can pretty much do all of the necessary things to get your site looking good, and also in a position to capture thousands of people searching for your services in the Shreveport – Bossier City area. Just make sure that they do SEO and Web design, but if they don’t do both, think about going somewhere else, or you will just be wasting your money and time.
