How to do [Local Keyword Research] and RANK #1 FREE Tool

Local Keyword Research

Smart Local Keyword Research

The days of doing local keyword research have come a long way since the early days. I’m talking about using tools like Google Keyword, which was somewhat useful in those early days of the 2000s. But now, due to Google knowing people are getting smarter about keyword research, they just have changed the way their keyword tool works.

Now it’s almost impossible to read the tool, and not to count how inaccurate all the data. Google did this from my stand of point to put a roadblock into people like me who know local SEO. Meaning they know that there are people out there willing to do the research to find the best keywords for ranking locally.

By saying it brings me to the topic of today, which how to do local keyword research at a high scale but with spending money. Let me introduce you to a tool I suggest for anyone looking to do keyword research, which is SEO Review Tools.

Below I will show you step by step actions on using this tool for your local keyword research from A to Z. Plus, you’re a little lazy like me and hate to read, then just skimmed to the bottom of the page for a complete tutorial video that explains the same process.

1. Visit SEO Review Tools Home Page

Here is the home page where you will find the “Keyword Tool” tab to your left of the page. Now I know you see many of the free tools, but let’s just focus on the keyword research tool for today.

2. Insert Your Keyword

This tool is pretty simple to use; just enter your keyword and push “Perform check.”

3.  Total Search Volume

Above you will find the total monthly volume for the “Shreveport real estate” keyword. Yes, a few years ago, this number was higher, like around 1,2000 searches per month, but I’m guessing since the downfall of these houses flipping shows where the numbers are evening out now.

So as you can see, what the tool is telling me is that this keyword is getting around 720 people searching for that keyword every month…POWERFULL RESULTS. When you reach this page, the green total search number is what you are seeking.

4. View Results

You see, once you understand your industry, then you will know the top targeted keyword people search to find what they’re looking for. So when I find out how much traffic a keyword gets, it’s now time to look at the search results to keep my competition.

Now I’m not going to go over how to analyze the search results; that’s something I can talk about later, what I’m doing to looking at the top results, and see how I can produce content that’s better than what they have listed.

5. Check Related Keywords

Go back and look at other related keywords and see if they get any search volume worth going after. Simply head back over to the website and click “Research keyword” from any of the keywords listed.

6. Word “High”

Finally, to complete the total system of how to do local keyword research, you must not get scared off by something. When you click on “Research keyword,” it will take you to a page listed above. What you will see sometimes is the competition section showing “High” in Red.

Now, please don’t get scared off by this thinking you won’t be able to compete just because the keyword has been dominated by other like websites and companies.

What this means is that there are many highly qualified, and authority pages rankings for that keyword. Saying these pages hold a lot of weight in the search engines when it comes to local rankings, but not something for you to worry about. Just know before you can dominate the local result, then you must start from scratch just like those websites.
