  • The Results

Here is a video that walks through how I dominate the search engines with my company name, and exactly how I did it. Plus, it comes with a free Bonus at the end of the video, so check it out.

My Local Marketing Ideas

When I saw this list, I almost fell out of my chair, trying to see why I wasn’t contacted. You see, I understand because I realize everyone can’t be reached online by an expert. There are tons of great minds in this “local SEO marketing” field, so it’s always someone to turn to for answers.

I am so saying that I wanted to go a little deeper into some of the local marketing strategies that will give you the most results in overtime.

One of the most underused local marketing ideas that I stress more than anything is the power of “Local Video Marketing.”

Are You Doing Video Marketing?

When I wrote the Ultimate Guide to Local Marketing a while back, I wanted to dedicate an entire chapter just to video marketing.

Why? The main reason is that the video is something local businesses overlook.

They mostly just put a few ads in the local paper and cross their fingers, hoping for the best results. The video is just not something people want to be part of because of a few reasons.

These are the main ones I get when I’m sitting down with a potential client who is looking to dominate their local marketing.

I ask them..have you thought about the video? Oh, oh no..I’m not right in front of the camera

or

  • I’m too shy
  • We don’t need video
  • Customers won’t watch
  • No good camera
  • etc.

I can’t believe how many times I’ve heard these words uttered out of business owners’ mouths. I’ve found out that the reason for this is not because they don’t think the video could help them, but they have no clue about the power of it and how to implement it.

Here I want to list a few things you need to create a video on a minimum budget without breaking the bank.

  • iPhone or any reasonable smartphone
  • Right Bright area “outside or well-lit room.”
  • Short bullet points
  • The willpower

Before I get into the above elements into making videos quick, comfortable, and without expensive equipment, I first want to talk about the magnitude of creating local videos, and how it will force your brand to dominate locally.

Local Video Dominate “Proof”

One of the main reasons you want to create a video marketing campaign for your business is because you’re able first to tackle all forms of keywords related to your business.

Why?

People Google You. Duh

When someone Googles your name or company name, you better have something of value to share with them. If not, then other people will do that for you in the form of bad comments, bad reviews, etc.

Videos that are optimized correctly with your information in the title, such as your company name, will nearly automatically rank highly (if your name is not related to another well-known brand).

Now, if you can make that video about your “company name” and allow it to rank locally, then you put yourself in the driver’s seat of controlling your content. Yes, the video is content, and people love to watch a video more than anything else.

Plus, not only that, a video stands out like a sore thumb in the search engines. Don’t believe me then Google my company name “Coleman Marketing Group,” and tell me what you see first.

Screen Shot 2015-10-01 at 10.17.00 PM

All I did was create some short videos from my excellent Mac computer, optimized the video titles, and bingo, I was ranked for my name. It took a little time since my Youtube was “new.” Now think about this…what if I created a video around my local market to attract small business owners?

Potential Results

The overall reason for doing video marketing in the first place is to get results that will produce calls, opt-ins, and actions.

Andrew of Video Brewery talked a lot about the statistics part of video marketing, which is what we measure to see the effectiveness of our online marketing.

I’d like to share what happens when you create a video, such as the titles I listed above.

My Results

Back in October of 2014, I decided to turn my thoughts of local domination into a reality. What I was trying to do was see If I could rank highly in the search engine for a few terms that related to my business model.

So what I did was, I wrote five blog posts and created five videos that also go with each one of them.

Here is the list of Videos/Content

Can you see it?

Well, if you can’t spot what I was trying to do, then let me explain it for a minute.

First, I created titles that are eye-catching in the first place to get good click-through rates. If there are three listings right on top of each other, and one title in general, and the other one is ok, but the last has some catchy phrase to it…which one will you click?

Not only that, you should see that I mention the city + industry I was trying to target. You can say that with the catchy title on top of the city + industry, you will say that I’m hitting on all parts.

What I was able to do, and you can do it too, is that I optimized my blog posts and each video with the same title. Smart huh.

This made it almost impossible for me not to rank at least in the top 20 without even doing a second of SEO.

Guess what? That’s what happened.

Few Rankings for Proof

First, for the keyword “bossier city web designers, which is the fifth listing at the top of this post. You will see that I’m ranked on the 2nd page for that keyword in the top position, and the video I created is halfway down the page.

bossier city web designers local marketing ideas

Yea, I know pretty impressive right

Not indeed to me because I like the front page a lot better since the first five listings get about 95% of all clicks. Even though that listing is not on the front page, it doesn’t mean that it’s a complete waste.

Think about this…if I never created that content, then it wouldn’t even be found anywhere, but since I did now, I have a chance to be seen by those who are looking for those services.

The overall reason for this is to get that video ranked so you can be seen compared to the other competitors who are not even thinking about video marketing.

Amazing Results

To get the best video results explained by Shawn Forno from IdeaRocket is to go out and create something of amazement.

Not saying I created something of that stature, but I did focus on getting the attention of a small group of people who will be willing to search.

So I decided to go after the keyword “Minden marketing companies” which just went with the content and video, I was able to rank on the front page in the position in a matter of days.

minden marketing companies local marketing ideas

The feeling you get when you see something you created being at the top of the search engine is like no other. Even after 10+ years of doing SEO/Local SEO Marketing, I still get excited to see top rankings.

You can achieve those types of natural rankings also only if you implement yourself.

When I wrote the “The Ultimate Guide to Local Marketing Domination,” I added a chapter on local video marketing. Why the simple fact that most local businesses totally overlook the internet, especially video marketing.

This form of local marketing is more effective than any other type because videos stand out like a sore thumb. So make sure your business is filling up your local market with a lot of painful thumbs.

Injured finger with bandage

Wrapping this up, I just wanted to add my well guarded local marketing ideas to the FitSmallBusiness collection of responses. There were a lot of great answers, but I felt like I needed to add my point of view for those who wanted some clear-cut proof of rankings.

Finally, for those of you who love tools like myself, then here is a list of “Marketing Survival Tools” I “Antonio Coleman: can’t live without.

Building an Online Presence is NOT SEO – It’s Like Comparing Apples to Oranges

Building an Online Presence is NOT SEO – It's Like Comparing Apples to Oranges

One of the main reasons that I’m writing this blog post is to show not only my clients the difference in SEO and Building an Online Presence, but also to educate those others who may want to get updated on this topic.

SEO vs. Building an Online Presence

Most people will tell you that both of these are the same, no matter how you look at it. Well, sorry, my friend, but this is like trying to compare Apples to Oranges.

What I want to explain today is the difference between the two, so you, as a business owner online or offline, will make the right choice for your success. First, before you start thinking about which route you want to take, I would like to explain to you the incredible differences in both.

OK,

I would like for you to think about this for a moment to get you in the mind set of understanding the two.

Let’s say we’re a real estate company located in Shreveport La, and there are around a solid 30 competing real estate companies in the given city.

To break down the numbers, even more, let’s say only 20 of them have “WEBSITES.”

More random stats…

– 10 Have Facebook Business Pages

– 5 Have Twitter Accounts

– 6 Have Google Business Listings

– 3 Have a Yelp Page

– NONE are Blogging

– NONE Have Videos Ranked Online

Now, as you can see, we are competing with these companies who do have somewhat of an online presence, but not enough for you to target SEO. You may be asking yourself since SEO is not the best route to go in this case, then possibly the building of the online presence is the best route to take…RIGHT

Correct…and here is why

[Tweet “Building an Online Presence is NOT SEO – It’s Like Comparing Apples to Oranges”]

What is SEO?

I’m going to make this as simple as possible so that I don’t get anyone confused about this form of marketing. When you think about SEO, you have to think about the following…

  • Online Page Optimization
  • Offsite Optimization
  • Excellent Content “Link Bait Type”
  • Blogging Content “Epic-Wow”
  • Backlink/Links “Authority Links.”
  • Social Media Presence

These factors have everything to do with SEO, and when you implement them together, you get some form of rankings in the search engines.

Here is an infographic from 1st on the List

Building an Online Presence is NOT SEO. What is SEO

The fact is that all of these moving parts are all about pushing your website up the rankings for any keyword you like.

For Example: Lets take the keyword “Shreveport Real Estate,” which gets around 1,600 monthly searches.

If you wanted to do SEO to get ranked on the front page of this keyword, you would have first to optimize your website/page/post to support that word.

Next, you will need to go out and get that content on as many highly targeted websites as possible. Now all links are not apples to apples. Some links, such as forums, comments, and low-quality websites are not going to help you at all.

The reason being is that the other websites that are on the front page for “Shreveport Real Estate” are connected to other high authority websites, so to even be able to compete, you will need to go after those links and others that have what we call link juice.

This is Too Time Consuming

Unless you have a lot of time on your hands or can hire someone or a company to do this for you, then I will say don’t even think about doing SEO.

Tough get high-quality links

You’re talking about months of hard work that may or may not work. So my recommendation is to stay clear of SEO unless you have the budget and the time to wait it out until the rankings start to move.

But I gotcha…here is a free SEO Practice Course that will walk you through the entire process of SEO for those who want to learn about this even more.

What is Building an Online Presence?

One of the main reasons I offer the building of an online presence to all of my clients is because of the range of rankings you can get.

You see, with SEO, it’s all about ranking your website for a targeted keyword and waiting out the process to see what happens.

Online presence is more like getting thousands of people to promote your business for you. Meaning, instead of me standing on the corner selling T-Shirts, now I can have thousands of people selling my T-shirts just by me giving them my business model.

Check out this infographic by  Digital Information World

Building an Online Presence is NOT SEO – It's Like Comparing Apples to Oranges

Simple Example:

Walmart has thousands of stores around the world if you know it or not. If I wanted to put my business in front of thousands of potential customers every day, then I would fight to get my product in those stores.

The overall goal is to piggyback off their success so that I can make sales that much more comfortable. You see, Wal-Mart has authority in the world, so if I want to have a successful selling product, then I need to be part of that crowd.

Building your online presence is all about getting your business on as many platforms as you can that already have authority. The top three ways of doing this are by having your business located on as many high authority places such as as..Youtube, Profiles, and Citations.

Youtube videos rank very well in the search engine when trying to rank for locally targeted keywords. So if I were a plumber in Shreveport La, then I would do a video centered around the keyword “Shreveport La, Plumbers.”

That video, just because it’s Youtube, would rank at the right spot in the search engine. Why the simple truth is that Google owns Youtube, and they focus a lot on their content to rank highly, even the video.

Just creating a video that is optimized will somewhat rank above the general websites if implemented correctly. If you can rank on the front page for that search term, then you will get a share of that traffic.

But wait, there’s more…what if I say that you can create unlimited videos, profiles, and citations that all will outrank most websites…what would you say?

Well, if I were you, this will be the route I would go because I don’t have to build backlinks. Create the profile, citation, or video, which will automatically rank well.

Yes, it will take time

Just like SEO, building an online presence does take time also, which is what I explain to all my clients and potential clients.

It can take months also to see some form of growth in the search engine, but it’s a lot less stressful than trying to find websites to exchange links with.

Look, I’m not going to leave you hanging without giving you something that will not only explain this in detail but will also walk you through how to build your online presence.

Take a look at my 31 tips for dominating your local market, which also comes with a step by step guide to growing your business online.

Final Thought

SEO and the building of an online presence are two of the most potent forms of local online marketing for small businesses. What I would like for you to do is choose what works best for you financially and overtime.

I hope that I explained the two in the best fashion possible, so now it’s your turn to go out and dominate your local marketing..but the question is which route you will go to?

5 Tips on How to Market Your Dental Practice by Antonio Coleman

How to Market Your Dental Practice in Shreveport-Bossier City

How to Market Your Dental Practice by Antonio Coleman

One of the #1 things that most businesses struggle with, even people in the dental industry, is just how can I market, promote and advertise my business to the massive locally. I get tons of emails from people in every industry, but the one that I get the most is from dentists asking “How Can I market my dental practice” in whatever city they’re located in.

Today is a special day, not only for all of the dentist offices around the world but also for those located in my local market which, is Shreveport-Bossier City. What I’m going to do is explain how you can promote your dental practice online to the massive, and pretty much double your business in a matter of months.

Promoting My Dental Practice

First, I would like to say that I’m a 15-year internet/online marketer who can say with confidence, that I have done it all online and offline when it comes to marketing. Worked with thousands of people over the year to help them grow their businesses.

I’m also one of the top writers on BiggerPockets, which is the #1 real estate website in the world. I’m not on here to talk about investing; I’m on there to spread the world about how to market their businesses which is the reason why I think thousands of people read my content.

To this day, I have tons of clients that  I do marketing for that are getting that local online exposure that they’re looking for without having to mortgage the house to do it. Today is not about them, but helping you get the most out of building your online presence so that you can see more overall growth.

Learn How to Dominate Your Local Marketing in Next 5 Min

Let’s get Started

Below I have a quick list of things that every business should have done or should be doing from day one if they want to compete locally. Just these alone, can grow your business 100% over time with the right marketing.

You Need a Website

If you don’t have a website in today’s times, you will most certainly struggle to grow your dental practice in Shreveport-Bossier City, or anywhere else in the world. None of the other things that I will be listing will do you any good if you don’t have the right platform in place to educate people about your services.

Throughout the years, I’ve built hundreds of websites for many clients. Most of them ask me beforehand if they need a site when they can use things such as Facebook or Linked-in as their main pages.

What I explain to them is that you want to build a brand for your business, so in the dental industry, you should also be thinking about having something you own, which is a domain name, and getting it in front of your targeted audience.

For this reason, I would like to congratulate a few local dental offices here in my hometown of Shreveport-Bossier City on setting up their websites. These are the few who knew that having a dental site was something that they needed to get the ball rolling on building their brand.

So, for those dental offices that don’t have a website, just think about incorporating this into your budget sometime this year. I don’t want you to miss out on the thousands of people who go online every single month searching for local dental offices here in Shreveport-Bossier City, or even in your city.

Video Marketing

One of the keys to success as a dental office is to be able to connect with people through videos. People love, and I mean love, to visualize their experience coming into your office. Just this online video will get people on the phone making appointments, seeing how you do business, and how you treat your clients.

Video marketing is one of most used platforms that I see in the dental industry. Yes, you might get some detail websites that may have one video on their page, and from there you won’t see anymore. What you have to do as a practice is to make a conscious effort to produce at least one video per week that can be added to your website, Facebook and shared to those on your list.

When people see this kind of marketing, they’re instantly willing to share that video with other family members and talk more about your practice. This is what we call “Viral Marketing,” where you set up the amazing platform which is the website and videos and allow the people to spread the word.

This video marketing goes a lot deeper than this because I haven’t even mentioned YouTube, which is a platform that I being dominating for years. This is something from a guy who’s created hundreds of videos and gained thousands of clients from them over the years. So as a dental office, this is something that you can’t overlook.

Blogging

Some industries think that blogging is for those people who have entertainment websites, or those people like me who talk all day and night about marketing. No one seems to understand that people are searching for what they need every day online.

Being able to produce content that is centered around your local dental office can mean wonders. Believe it or not, people search by stating a problem, or just asking a question.

For Example, Someone may search by typing this into Google.

  • “Toothache dentist offices in Shreveport-Bossier City.”
  • “dentist offices in Shreveport-Bossier City.”
  • “Shreveport Dentist Offices”

You see, people search the internet in a variety of ways, but at the same time, they need a dentist. Blogging gives you the platform to write educational content that people are searching for. After they do a local Google search, then your material should pop up somewhere in the top results.

The On-Page SEO, titles, and keyword density will play a big part in whether or not your blogging material can rank highly or not. For this reason, I stress to all of my clients to learn how to do keyword research the smart way.

Know that if you do plan on creating a blog on your website, then a self-hosted WordPress website is the way to go.

Social MediaDentist

I’m dumb founded by those businesses, such as the dental practice industry, on how many of them don’t take advantage of social media. From the likes of Facebook, Twitter, Linked-in, and Instagram, there are thousands of potential clients for your dental practice that are just waiting for you to get in front of them.

Social media allows those dentist offices in Shreveport-Bossier City, to market and advertise directly to their targeted market, all from one place.

This Issue.

Sad to say, just by having a Facebook page for your dentist office is not enough. I checked out a number of the local dentist websites that I listed above and took a quick peep at their social media accounts. Now, some of them are somewhat doing it the right way, but the others from first glance, I see that they are not taking advantage of what’s given to them.

When there is no engagement on the page, and all I see are short posts about things that the potential clients don’t care about, then I start to wonder how can this dentist office change up their marketing?

The key to having a successful Facebook dentist page, and grow your clientele at the same time, is by offering things of value. First, that comes in the form of great content that is posted on your website and shared on your social media platforms also.

Next, comes the posting tons of photos of happy clients inside your place of business. Plus, also asking those clients to like your page, and share photos of themselves and the content you posted. You can go a step further by asking your clients questions on your page where they can respond, and you can reply in return.

One of the most awesome things that you can also do is giving out coupons on your page. People can print them out directly from the page, and come in to redeem them. It could be just $5 or $10 off of your next teeth cleaning…. use your imagination.

Finally, you can take advantage of the advertising parts of Facebook. This is powerful because now you can spend a little money to place your dental practice in front of thousands of people.

Build Online Presence

The question is, who needs to build an online presence? Well, the simple answer is that anyone who has targeted customers or clients who can find them online. I tell all of my clients to just Google their company name, and see what comes up.

Now, if your dental practice is like all of the others, you may see a few listings from a YellowPages listing, to maybe a manta.com, or just one of those listings that are automatically created. To be able to be found, you must be in the places people are searching to be seen.

The thing is that you must get your dental practice on hundreds of these websites to even have somewhat of an effect. What you need to do is take action. Once you can start marketing your business in the right fashion, is when you will see growth overall.

31 Local Marketing Tips

To help you get the ball rolling, I’ve put together my top 31 tips on how to dominate the local dental industry. No matter what other dental practices are in your city, you can become the leading practice by using these simple to follow guides.

Today, you will learn how to promote your dental practice to the masses locally without having to spend thousands of dollars on advertising. Hopefully, this blog post helps you start the journey of taking your dental practice to an all new level.

Special Gift 50 Comments Hundreds of Visitors by Being Featured on BiggerPockets Newsletter

Over a week ago, I wrote a blog post on BiggerPockets titled “How to Get a 40%+ Response Rate on Your Next Direct Mail Campaign.”

That post was created to educate the real estate community on how to get a higher response rate through direct mail. You see direct mail is maybe the top 2 or 3 ways most investors go about marketing their business.

Note: I have a special gift for all of my newsletter subscribers

So when people are spending tons of dollars on direct mail, then they’re more willing to learn how to capitalize on their investment. Overall, the post was centered around the strategies of how I would tackle my direct mail campaign in a more effective way.

36 Hours Later

First, I would like to say that BiggerPockets is one of the top REI websites in the world. Thousands of members read the content, guides and listen to their Podcast. The platform that they have are all centered around those who want to get more out of their real estate business.

Now, after about a day or so of that post going live on their website, I got an email from BP, which they send this to everyone who signs up, and want to receive their daily content.

The thing about their newsletter is that it only comes out about once a week, and usually it’s in the middle of the week. This newsletter highlights the weeks top content on their site, which is ranked accordingly to whatever terms they have.

I think that a lot of content that is featured in their newsletter is content that gets a lot of so-called activity.

Here is a screenshot of that email.

coleman marketing group featured in Biggerpockets newsletter

From here you can see that they titled the newsletter somewhat after the title that I gave my blog post, which I posted on their blog. This newsletter quickly goes out to thousands of REI people who will love to read content such as mine.

This means that I’m able to get my knowledge out to at least 100k people, all from my efforts of writing epic-wow educational content.

Don’t think educational epic-wow content is essential for any website, then take a look at this blog post that I titled “Two Investors Talk About If They Had to Start Over From Scratch.” Which received over 2,613 shares on stumble upon.

People love high content that teaches them how to do something efficiently, and without spending tons on advertising.

Next, another great thing that they did was that they featured the blog post at the top of the page to get even more targeted exposure. Yea you can see my beautiful looking face there smiling from ear to ear knowing that I just put my content in front of tons of people who can benefit from it.

How to Get a 40 Response Rate on Your Next Direct Mail Campaign

That blog post has been viewed thousands of times and has gotten over 58 blog comments from those who just loved the content. This leads me to my special gift.

My February 2015 Local SEO Marketing Report

CMG Monthly Local SEO Marketing Report for Feburay 2015

What happens in February 2015

Last month was a very interesting month because honestly, the only blog post that I posted was my first yearly local marketing report and another post that I will talk about here in a minute that went viral.

Out of 28 days, I only mustered to write one post and a list post where a few of my online friends talked about if they had to start from scratch. On any other month, I would say that this is some terrible marketing that I’m doing, by not blogging at least once a week.

But I have something that I have been working on all month that took me away from posting content regularly. I can’t even tell you what it is as of this second, just know that it’s over 9k words long, and was created for those who are in the real estate industry.

I’m one of those guys who loves to tackle all industries, and the one that I’m focusing on now is the real estate industry. The goal for this year is to come into this market and give away as much free real estate marketing advice as possible.

[Tweet “My February 2015 Local SEO Marketing Report. 2,613 shares from Stumbleupon..read about it”]

Start of my Podcast

So a few weeks ago, I asked those who are part of my 52-week real estate marketing course would they be interested in a Real Estate Marketing Podcast. To my surprise, I got some responses from those who gave me the thumbs up in getting this done.

Email Responses

“Yes” a marketing only podcast would be a gold mine. I have listened to all of the marketing podcasts on bigger pockets, but there are not enough. I am like most investors, I don’t know how to properly market my business. Everyone needs to know that I am Zach The Home Buyer!

I say quit thinking about it, and just do it! All of us who are in RE are actually in marketing, we just don’t know it.”

“Yes, I prefer podcasts!”

“PLEASE DO IT ANTONIO!

I enjoy reading, but sometimes a podcast just fits in the schedule better!”

“Antonio, I see that you are also a member at Bigger Pocket. How will your Pod cast differ from theirs? I agree people learn in different ways, none better than by actual doing. For me, if I listen to everyone offering real estate marketing advice I would never get anything done in my business.

Yes! I need relevant and actual step by step information on a particular topic. It would be good to find out what people actually need now to move their business forward. As fast as things change on the internet, the information needs to be delivered in bite size easy to implement.”

“I think podcast would be a great idea”

“Yes Antonio, I enjoy listening to informative podcasts to and from my day job.”

“Hi Antonio,

I would definitely listen to the podcast.  I listen to the Bigger Pockets podcast, Buy Sell Fix Flip with Michael Quarles, and Bad Christian podcasts all the time, so yours would be great!  I love your articles on BP, and I feel like I am learning a lot.  The progress is coming slow, and I know I need to blog more.  I plan to implement some of your ideas from the last few articles shortly.

Greg”

Hey Antonio, Yes I love podcasts like the ones on Bigger Pockets for example. As long as I can download them for free so I can play them on my phone while I’m driving. And the content is relevant Downloading is the key for me so I don’t use up my data. And it give you more freedom. To play when and where you want. I love to read too! Must Read #31 Tips On How To Market Your Business

Finally, I took a few days to look around for a microphone. One thing that I realized is that there are thousands of microphones out there. But I finally decided on one that I feel will produce the best quality of sound.

So look for this Podcast a little later this month, which will be released with at least four episodes. I’m excited about this other form of marketing, which I know will benefit so many in the real estate world.

Blog Post Went Viral

This past month I posted a post that asked some REI what would they do if they had to start from scratch. I got two guys to respond to my request, so I posted their response on my website as a blog post.

I created an excellent looking image of the two investors that I posted at the top of the page. These two REI guys gave me a little content that will spark something of amazement once it went live on my website.

On February 10, 2015, I published this post on my blog and started to share it on the following sites.

Two Investors Talk About If They Had to Start Over From Scratch

That blog post went viral online on Stumbleupon. For those of you who don’t know, this is a website that features awesome content, videos, images, etc..

You see, all I did was that I posted it there, and somehow it got picked up by the funnel system. This is a system where people start to share it on their profiles, which shows up to their viewers.

Below you will see the left-hand side, the share button for Stumbleupon was shared over 2,613 times. This is pretty much like you posting something on Facebook, and every one of your friends starts to “Like” it. Then it starts showing all over the place, so this is what starts the viral effect.

Side Note: Even though it’s all great to get this type of traffic for the numbers sake. It’s not that good of a thing at the end of the day. The reason why is that most of the people who saw my website were probably not interested in what my two friends had to say.

What this comes down to is targeted traffic that converts. When you think about traffic to a website, you must take into consideration of what type of traffic it is. Is it direct traffic, referral traffic or search traffic?

So at the end of the day, I’d rather have 100 targeted visitors per day versus 2,613 shares from Stumbleupon, even though it was great while it lasted.

February Monthly Stats

When it comes to the traffic that my site is getting, I’m always willing to share it with my readers. I’m not getting hundreds of thousands of visitors, but I am getting traffic that converts.

What I’m saying is that my traffic is coming from places that support my content. People are coming in directly, referral sites to me being found in the search engines. It’s 100% remarkable to see the growth of a website online when you apply for hard work.

Now 2014 was my first full year of having this website live online. I created the Colemanmg.com website back in March of 2013, and as of you can see from that first month, I only got a whopping 24 people to visit the site.

Fast forward it to February of 2014 and 2015, which was last month. I was only managed to get around 402 people to visit this website. Heck, that was still almost one full year after starting the site.

This is why I stress to people that it will take six months to a year to grow any website online. Depending on your industry, it can be fast or even longer. But the medium is around six months to a Year.

3,562 Visitors to CMG

Going from 402 visitors up to 3,562 visitors is a big jump in traffic. To be 100% honest with you, I’m not happy about that number at all knowing that I could’ve done better.

You see, I’m a very busy guy who had tons of clients to tend to that past year. I did not have a proper process set up to balance my marketing, and the marketing of my client’s websites and online presence. So I mainly couldn’t work on my projects like I wanted to.

No fear, I finally got the situation worked out by bringing on some good quality help that will allow me to focus more on growing my business, versus working in my businesses.

22,218 Impression from Search Engines

Now, most of you may not know what this means, but it’s when your website content shows up on a page when someone searches. Meaning, those top ten listings are shown, then this counts as an impression.

My content for my website CMG was shown over 22,218 times in the search engines, with the opportunity to be clicked on. Now I only got 207 of those into clicks, but it doesn’t feel right to know that I was there to be able to get clicked on.

Note: If you look at the far left, you will see that I have over 926 Queries. This means that my content was found in Google for that many keywords/keyword phrases. Like I said, most of all of this is from content I write and is being ranked in the search engines for tons of keywords.

My Local Marketing Stats

In my first yearly report for 2014, I talked about really digging deep down to go after my local market. What I meant was that I would focus more on dominating my local market when it comes to the online world.

I started this process by going after a few keywords such as…

I Made a Big Mistake

Above I wrote a blog post and created a video for each keyword, which is ok, and I’m ranked #1 for Minden Marketing Companies.

This is what I know for 100% fact by being a local SEO marketing guy that the other keywords that I picked was going to hard to rank for without doing some kind SEO work. I just knew these were some keywords that I wanted to start with first because I knew how long it would take to get them to move up the rankings.

So my plan of action is to let these simmer while I start to create more local content around other industries. I plan to target at least 5 to 10 new industries each month by producing some epic-wow content to help them market their business.

Ultimate Local Marketing Domination Guide by Antonio Coleman

Maybe this month, I will focus on the following industries:

  • Attorney
  • Dentist
  • Daycare
  • Restaurant
  • Real Estate

The goal is to write content and create a video around these industries to help them market their business on a higher scale. You see, I know companies such as these are looking for ways to grow their business.

Most of them are located in specific cites, such as Atlanta, GA. Now if I’m a Daycare owner, I might go to Google and type in..

How to market my daycare in Atlanta GA or How to market my daycare

You see, on the first one I added the word “Atlanta” to the search, but the second one I left the word “Atlanta” off.

Search engines are very smart these days, so I know that even if I don’t use that keyword in the title, I can still come up on the front page because most searches are done with the local aspect in mind. So Google will always show my listing somewhere even if they don’t use that word “Atlanta.”

This is the model that I plan to follow for my targeted local market. My focus is to build so much content around every single high paying industry that it would be impossible for me not to get in front of my potential clients.

Finally, at the end of most of my content, I will be offering them my free ultimate local marketing guide that will walk them through the few ways of growing their business online.

The goal is to help, help and help some more, so the local industries can get the right information to stand out in a crowded market.
