Monthly Stats Report for November 2013

coleman marketing group monthly stats report

Here is another month in the life of growing this website into one of the top marketing websites in the world. I do these stats reports to document my growth over time to see where I’m now to versus where I been. In last month’s stats report I talked about networking with 400 website owners in the form of asking them questions about what they’re doing to grow their websites.

Plus I brought up that I wanted to start the process of learning how to put together a podcast. I did my research and found a lot of helpful blogs that broke down all aspects of setting up a podcast from doing your logos and such. But over my entire goal is not only help myself get from point A to point Z, I’m actually doing this for you guys as well. People want to see your results, and the things you’re doing to make it happen online, these reports are the blueprints to my success.

Like I say all the time…“Failure Is Not an Option

What Happened in November?

Last month’s stats report I talked about this a little when it came to the local Main to Main in our city. For those who don’t know it’s a big event scattered around a couple of cities that bring people together to network, and sell their products or services. All I did was that I went out took a couple of pictures, and gave my business cards out. I did this just to build up a little buzz in the community about my marketing company.

Talked With Gary Shouldis

On November 6 I talked to Gary Shouldis about his business of small business consulting. Him and I talked over an hour about helping small businesses grow their overall customer base. He gave me a lot of advice on things he do help the clients he do have, and why he decided to drop all his low paying clients. He really broke down how the big paying clients are more open minded to the time it takes to grow an business.

We covered a lot of marketing tips and techniques he is using that are bringing in big-time spenders. His ideas were right on point to the things I’m doing or going to do when it comes to me taking care of my clients. It’s always good to see what other people are doing in their city to see if you can piggy back off their techniques and use them to your advantage. Monthly Stats Report for November 2013 1

Talked with Mats Holmvik

Mats Holmvik is one of the good guys in this online marketing space of millions of bloggers. He was featured in my niche site duel guide I just completed last month. He and I talked also through Skype but it was through content form of chatting back in forth. He talked about steering his business into more of the coaching side which is something I been doing for years now.

He is looking to gain a couple more clients so he can reach that six figure income which is very reachable. He also passed on some useful advice that I’m taking into account when talking to potential clients. I posted a screen shot of our conversation but blurred out it for privacy reasons just to show you that I’m on the networking trail.

Introduce Yourself

One thing I’m happy about is my introduce yourself page where any and every one can come there, and just say Hi. I put this page together to get what I call footprint traffic to the site. Meaning that I know this blog is about marketing, and caters to those who have websites, small businesses and looking to grow them massively. But I’m looking for people to come to this page that are the casual person who may just want to learn more about marketing if I can educate them.

The goal is to make this page go viral by me sharing it with everyone who I come across it online. It’s to get them on the site, and hopefully they will take action of introducing themselves by sharing the page. I will be update you more on the response next month once I see how this translate.

November Stats

Only 341 visitors this past month versus the 555 visitors I had in October. Seems like light years away when you just think that I got 190 some odd less people to visit my website. Now this not all as bad if you look at it from the content I posted. Yes some people are returning visitors but some are first timers, and those that came by last month may have come from a shared post or something. This can result in higher visitors versus another low ball month of traffic.

Monthly Stats Report for November 2013 3

Overall Numbers

I finally hit the 3,000 mark of total visitors. From March to present day of the December 2013 I’ve been able to get a whopping total of 3,096 visitors. Can’t say it’s a big number compared to the other blogs I have that gotten over 3,000 per day. So yes this is a low number but I know through good hard work I will be able to implement better number this coming month by locking down.

Monthly Stats Report for November 2013 4

Links to My Site

The links to the site are really growing at a massive rate each and every month. I’m not out looking for links for this website because I want things to happen naturally for ranking reasons. Remember links is like water to a whale, which means links to your website is what it needs to becomes higher in the search engine and gain momentum throughout the internet.

Monthly Stats Report for November 2013 5

Search Quires

The search quires are given me the blues due to the unstable way that its transforming. The ranking of my content is going up and down for the past three months for some crazy reasons. Now I have my reasons on what’s going on because Google seems to have these update every other day. My rankings still continues to go up and down like a roller coaster but thanks to my great marketing plan I’m still going to go forward creating good content even if it’s not rankings as well as of now.

Monthly Stats Report for November 2013 6

2 Blog Post Per Week

I didn’t hit that goal of posting two blog posts a week but I did manage to get six. Now to my defense on one of those posts it took about 4hrs of time to complete which is the niche site dual 2.0 guide that featured some awesome marketer given away valuable ways to grow a niche site.

So even though I didn’t hit my goal I did keep the quality of content going which is the overall key. You don’t have to have tons of content you just need to give something of value, and if you do that than you will always be able to attract more and more readers with less content..keep that mind.

November Taught Me

This past month went by as fast as all other months because I was extremely busy marketing this site more than ever. It taught me to keep talking to people in my niche whether it’s through email, Skype or on the phone. Just being constant is what I learn the most because by doing that you’ll always have a chance for success.

Goals for December

First I will like to say this wasn’t really a good month with it comes to networking and getting people to respond to your emails. For one it’s a holiday month, and people are extremely busy doing other things versus growing their site. But my goals still have to be achieved no matter what month we’re in so let’s see what I have planned for the month of December.

First I’m looking to wrap up some marketing plans for a local business in my city that needs some creative marketing. This is something that will take up a good bit of my time from putting the marketing game plans together to implementing the project.

Next I’m looking to have the podcast up and running by the end of the month from having a profile on ITunes to producing at least two to three podcast. My goal is to have more of me on the podcast versus having many guests. Even though I will have guest here and there I think it’s more beneficial to feature yourself since you are the brains behind the podcast. I just see so many people featuring more and more guest, and this starts to take away from who is really the so called expert.

Plus I’m excited about starting and completing my first marketing series on local marketing. Now local marketing consist of many things but I’m going to focus this free guide on local video marketing, local profiles and Facebook marketing. I’m doing this all for free so stay tune to my blog by getting my 31 local marketing techniques to be notified the second its released.

But to sum of the month of December I’m really just looking to stay motivated and focus. I must do this if I want to grow my business to the massive here locally in my city. So please help me on this journey by clicking the share buttons to the left and help me spread the word about this thing call “marketing”

Monthly Stats Report for October 2013

coleman marketing group monthly stats report

Welcome to another great prosper month for CMG when it comes to overall growth. September was a pretty good steady month for the site, and if you missed the update then check it out here

The overall reason behind these posts is for me to track the success of the site, and allow you to get a front row seat into what I’m doing to grow the website. Nothing is here just for show; everything on the website is done in a way to educate you on the things that actually work.

Yes my website is mostly targeted to local seo marketing which I demonstrate how to dominate your local market. I’m teaching the things I would do if I wanted to just start a business in a certain area; use creative marketing tactics to move pass the local competition.

Not only that I’m doing things on this site to grow the brand nationally and worldwide. My goal is to have the #1 local seo marketing website online that will become the hub for those small businesses from around the world to come to, and learn the latest marketing strategies.

These posts allows me to document everything I do from networking, SEO, guest posting, interviews, list, events, webinars, podcasting and much more. I’m given you a front row seat into how to grow a website slow but consistently every month until I see the results I want. “Failure Is Not an Option

What Happened in September?

To start I will like to say that this month moved faster than last month in terms of me really making moves of being active. Here outside my city in Minden there is this thing called the main to main which takes place every year. It’s nothing more than a big rummage sale of people selling their goods and services on the sides of the road.

What I did is that I got my camera and hit the streets and started taking pictures of the local vendors. Not only that I posted them to my website so the vendors could come to the page and share it. Plus I gave them one of my business cards which had all my contact information on it including my website information. Lots of them seen the services I provided and many said they might be contacting me in the future for local marketing help. So my goal was to provide a service for free in hopes of getting a business card in their hands…smart marketing huh

Getting Interviewed

One of the things I’m doing is taking my own advice in dominating my local market first before moving on to the big cities. So I contacted our local newspaper, and explained who I am and what I do. I told them that I’m looking to giveaway valuable information for the small businesses in my city which will help them build their brands with less money.

I sent this through an email which they contacted me back to setup an interview here soon so I can spill my guts about how to dominate your local market. The overall goal here is to build up buzz for free events I’m looking to put on in my city here soon so people will come and learn even more valuable ways of growing a business locally.

Add Your Business

Last month I talked about I was looking to build buzz in my city by going around and asking local businesses about been featured on my website. Then I started to rethink that because another great idea hit me more than anything. I said why not just create an online small businesses directory where they can come and promote their business.

This will be even better because now they can add a bio, photo and videos of their business. So I took some time and sat that up on my site which you can see to the right side of the page. This is 100% free of charge, and all the businesses have to do is to update their listing every 30 days to keep their content current.

But I took it a step further by creating what I call local marketing domination just for my city of Minden. So I created a video just for my city of Minden La which educated them on the importance of listing their businesses. Not only that I optimize that video to show up #1 in the search engine for Minden small business or Minden small business directory. Now when someone search

For those words the video comes up that talks about the directory and how they can add their business…smart marketing huh

Antonio’s 31 Tips

Plus this month I created something that every small business needs if they want to dominate their local market. I put together 31 of the top strategies of marketing your business locally without having to spend more money on advertising. I list everything from having a website to doing local seo which will be the core of them building their brands.

I talk about email marketing and tons of other things that people can use starting today. I’m given all of this away for free of charge to those who want it. Plus if you don’t have a local business then there is still lots of valuable information in there you still can use to grow your website worldwide. The content is not just for local marketing it’s also targeted toward you building the brand online.

I have big plans for this guide which I will talk about more in minute, but as of now know that it’s one of the best free local; marketing guides online so go take a peek.

October Stats

One good thing about this month is that 555 people came to the site via, search engine, direct or referred by another website. No matter how they got here I’m just happy they came by to check out my content. So if you take a look at the screen shot below you will see that ever single month the website traffic is growing in some form of fashion.

Now the month of August it had a big jump but that was due to the list post I did of 19 small business ideas from 19 different marketers. So that page was shared on many platforms which got a lot of traffic and exposure for my website. But after that everything to the site has been a natural steady flow as you can see from September to October.

555 people may not sound like a lot but go ask some of the small businesses in your town how many people walked through their doors this past month. Guarantee you it’s not over 555 people so to me this is a success and I just can’t wait to enhance it even more.

Monthly Stats Report for October 2013 7

Overall Numbers

I’m creeping up that ladder to almost a total of 3,000 visitors to CMG bout at the end of this month. Now like I said that’s not a big number to jump over the moon for but it is a sign of growth and hard work. But I have something in place for this month that I think will really get the wheels turning when it comes to my traffic.

Monthly Stats Report for October 2013 8

Links to My Site

Last month in September stats report it showed that I had 394 backlinks pointing to my website. Now that number has jumped up to a cool 499 backlinks pointing to my website. Now some of these links are coming from bookmark websites and content farm type sites. The content farm sites go out and find great content and post it on their websites with a link pointing back to you. This is normal and shows that my website is been picked up in the search engines and people are willing to link to it.

Plus I know some of the links are just from people who love my website, and just like linking to me. Even though the site is only six months old it’s on a path to really making some big moves here in the near future. The traffic is steady and the links are pouring in.

Monthly Stats Report for October 2013 9

Search Quires

The search quires came back for a brief time this past month for about 4 to 5 days, and just dropped back off the radar. Now even though I’m not pushing that hard on the seo parts of this website to get traffic from certain keywords. It would be nice to see the sites quires come back up so I can start to get that traffic back.

If you can see the site was hitting around about 600 quires per day for a while until the bottom fell out on October 19. So for those who don’t know quires are just when your site shows up in the search engine when someone does a search. They didn’t click on your site it just that your listing was visible if that’s understandable.

Monthly Stats Report for October 2013 10

2 Blog Post Per Week

Still for the month I’m trying to keep to doing at least two blog post per week. I’m doing this to keep fresh content for those readers of the CMG community, and to keep the search engines coming around to spider my content. There is no need to blog every day for those of you who thinks lots of content means more visitors. The best things you can do is to write good quality content that will transfer to visitors coming back and sharing of your content…this is what builds a website traffic.

October Taught Me

This past month was more about getting something into action such as putting together my niche site duel list post that will be going live soon. I learned that I needed to be more focus, and stay on task as much as I can so I am more productive. It’s so easy online to get distracted so next month I will be focusing more on one thing at a time.

Goals for November

November will be a good month for me when it comes to being more productive because of the things I have going on. First for the month I will be completing filling out all of my profile websites that links to my website here. These are free local websites that allow you to get an online presence just by setting up free local profiles.

Now I’m already member of about 50 prolife websites but I didn’t complete filing in all the information for all the sites. So this will be a big goal of mines this month of November. I will be doing a video blog post on this soon so stay tune to my website to get it once it’s live.

Next I will be connecting to a least at least 400 websites in my niche of marketing. I’m looking to put together a list post on “marketing creatively” so I will be emailing 20 websites per day which should get me about 30 to 40 response rate. I hope it’s more than that but getting this number will be great because I will be able to pick their brains of marketing creatively only and put it into a list post. Hope to get this done by December 1 to kick my site off with some targeted traffic.

Plus I will be doing my research on podcasting, and I have a website I will be using that will walk me through the whole process of setting one up and marketing it. Even though I know a lot about marketing, but when it comes to podcasts it plays by a different game so I must be educated on doing it the right way. So stay tune for that.

Lastly I’m looking to do my first free event here in my city for small businesses in my city. I’m looking to bring in some small businesses and show them some free ways of getting an online presence for their business without spending money on advertising. My whole goal for this is to educate many small businesses by January 1, and then put together an Ultimate two day event for those who want to learn exactly how to grow and market a business locally to dominate their market.

Plus stay tune to two case studies I will be doing for two local small businesses, which I will document me building an online presence for them. I will show you guys exactly how I did it and the results I got. It’s going to be awesome so subscribe to my website by getting my free 31 local marketing tips to be update when I product that content.

November will be busy month but I’m up to the challenge so if you have a second can you share this page with your friends to help me spread the word. My goal is to only educate so you can produce that thing call success.

Monthly Stats Report for August 2013

Monthly Stats Report for August 2013 11Welcome to the first of many monthly stats that I will be doing here on CMG. The reason behind these posts is not to brag or show off my website performance from month to month. My goal is to do a couple of things with these stat reports which all comes down to me being productive, and at the same time giving you a front row seat of how to grow a website from A to Z.

My Personal Growth

First, I’m doing these posts starting this month of September 2013 because I want to track my performance. This website has been online for a total of 6 months now which equals up to about 160 days. About two months of that time was all about setting the website up from design to adding important content such as my contact page, services page, about me page and the ask Antonio page.

For the past 4 months, I have been working on adding valuable content to the website which is centered around marketing. It took about three months to write some good quality content for the casual readers who do come along. I wanted to create tons of posts before I really started marketing this website to thousands if not millions of people.

Now for this reason, last month was my first month of really marketing the website to the masses, and below I will show you how I was able to gain 893 visitors in the month of August. This on top of the backlinks I’m building to the site, to the overall search terms I’m ranking for gives me a front row seat on the growth of my business.

Monthly Stats Report for August 2013 12

This Will Help You Also

I’m one of those people who will probably give you my last piece of pecan pie, and my family knows how much I love that. Helping people build their website’s traffic by marketing their website in the cleanest form is what I will be helping you achieve here on CMG. This is why I will be sharing everything I will be doing to grow this website to the masses.

You will be able to look over my shoulder and see the things that I do to build more subscribers, make more money, and most importantly building my brand. You will have the blueprint map of building a successful website without having to spend tons of money on advertising.

Just remember the stats for this site are very low compared to a so called big blogger website, but to me that’s the beauty of the site because I will be building it from scratch, and you will have an opportunity to follow along. Not only follow along, but you will be able to implement the same steps with your own website.

So-What Happened in August

The month of August was my first full month of doing some sort of marketing. I had everything in place, so I felt like it was time to get the ball rolling. Before the month even jumped off good enough, I received a big surprise from the website Technorati. They took the pleasure of ranking my marketing website as one of the top 100 small business website online.

Next, I took the pleasure of putting together a how to guide of marketing a real estate business. I did this because I talk to so many realtors and brokers who know how to sell a house, but have no clue on how to market their business to the masses without breaking the bank.

One of the things I’m proud about more than the slight growth of the website is my survival tool resource page. I understand some people don’t know where to start when it comes to marketing, and that’s one of the main reasons for failure. For this reason, I decided to sit down on a Saturday and list every program and software that I use every day to run my business. If you ever wondered what us marketers use on a daily basis to grow our businesses, then now you can stop wondering.

Finally, I took the first step into letting a whole new audience know about my marketing website. What I did was that I networked with 20 marketers online, and created what we call a “List Post” These type of posts can be about anything, but the sole reasons behind them are for the following..

· Networking

· Traffic

· Getting shares on Twitter and Facebook

· Maybe even a backlink on their website

· Building Long Term Relationships

The overall stats of this post once it was posted about a week ago came out to..40 Likes, 80 Retweets, 33 Google Plus’s and only 12 Linkedin shares as of 9/4/2013. All of this equaled up to a whopping 285 targeted visitors to this page.

Monthly Stats Report for August 2013 13

Niche Site Duale 2.0

Now, for those of you who don’t know, I’m what they call a SEO GUY. Yes, I do all of the other forms of marketing from email marketing, networking to you name it. For years I’ve been doing SEO, which is going after a keyword and getting it ranked highly in Google and the other search engines.

Lately I have been participating in the “Niche Site Dual 2.0” challenge, which me and I would say couple of hundreds or thousands of people are a part of. We are trying to see if we can rank a website/web page in the search engine in a certain amount of time. Me being the person that I am, and knowing that I could surpass the competition, decided to play along and document my case study here.

Important: I’m doing this for a friendly competition, but I’m also doing it for traffic and profits.

My Stats

895 visitors are what I was able to muster up from the little marketing that I did do this past month. Most of this came from some guest posts, networking, seo, and a little social media here and there. In the screen shot you will see how from March to now the traffic has climbed the ladder of success.

I got these stats from Jetpack by wordpress, which is a free plugin that keeps up with all of your incoming stats. It tells you the referring sites, search terms, and keeps track of all your traffic until the end of time..Best park is that it’s free.

Besides Jetpack, you can use Google Analytics which is another free tracking tool from Google. I installed this to my website in late April which really hurt me on monitoring the traffic. I say this because the Google Analytics back office showed that the site only got over 1,000 visitors from April to now, but the jetpack has been installed since day one and it shows that I’ve gotten over 1,736 visitors.

Monthly Stats Report for August 2013 14

Google Webmaster

Once again, if this is something that you’re new to, then Google Webmaster is nothing more than a big analysis tool. It keeps track of search terms, backlinks to your site, and many other useful programs. My main goal is to use it to track the backlinks coming into my site, and show which keywords I’m ranking for.

This screen shot shows that I have about 313 backlinks pointing to the website. I’m sure, and to be honest I’m 100% sure that there are even more links pointing back to my site. The issue is that Google takes about 2 to 4 weeks to find and calculate your links.

Hint: This is the main reason that it takes months to rank a website, because Google’s process of evaluating your links takes time. I think that 313 links is pretty great for a six month old website.

Monthly Stats Report for August 2013 15

Search Queries Ups and Downs

Inside Google webmaster, they have what is called the search queries section. This is where the software keeps track of all of the search terms listed in their search engine from your website. As of me writing this monthly stats report, I have over 226 search terms in the search engine.

Now, most of these are from my seo efforts from this niche site duel I have been working on. This effort of mine has allowed my site to be showed in the search engine “impressions” over 12,000 times with only about 150 clicks.

If you take a quick look at the screen shot, you will notice that the searches just drop off the face of the earth. Why? It can be many factors and most of them have to do with the Google Dance, which is common. What we go through as marketers is that one day you’re doing good in the search engine and the next day you’re entirely off the map.

It will come back up sooner or later, and this is the reason why I don’t depend on search traffic 100%. Below I will explain my goals for the next month, and let you know exactly what I will be doing to not only keep my seo efforts going, but also how I will grow this website through creative marketing..

Monthly Stats Report for August 2013 16

September Goals

My Goal for September 2013 will be to get anywhere from 1500 to 2000 visitors to the website. These people will be targeted people who are readers, buyers, and searching for valuable information in my niche which is marketing. Yes, to get to this number I will need some help from you when it comes to sharing the site content, but the overall work load will be done by doing the following.

Guest Posting

I’m looking to write 16 guest posts this month on an average of 4 per week. Each guest post will be about online marketing, local marketing, or just plain old seo marketing. I will spend a total of 6 hours per week writing, editing, and posting them to other websites.

These guest posts will be anywhere from 500 to 1000 words each, and jammed packed with quality content. Hopefully by doing this, I will be able to put my website in front of other readers and build my brand which equals more traffic.

2 Blogs Per Week

I am a big believer in writing so that people can read what’s hiding inside that head of yours. To be able to grow my website, I will need to add valuable information at least twice a week filled with marketing ideas, tools, strategies and more. This will give me 8 valuable pieces of content for the month of September, which is the norm of blogging times.

This blogging is part of my 1,000 words a day I must write to cover the guest posting and the content on my site. Talk about a guy doing lots of work just to grow a website from A to Z.

Networking

Relationships are the #1 way to grow a website for long term success. If you want to grow your website to millions of visitors like I will do for CMG, then you must be ready to network. I mean going out and introducing yourself to another top website owner, and holding a conversation in some way or another.

How I will do this is through my “list posts” which I will do 2 of them for this month. I’m looking to network with 100 website owners this month, and hopefully I can get on their radar so that I can get my brand in front of their readers. I’m looking to go about doing this by getting interviews from them, or asking them questions about different forms of marketing.

However, the networking will be a grueling and time consuming task. I understand that if I want to grow this community for myself and you readers, then I must turn my hat around and get to work.

Lots of work for September, but someone has to do it.

Thanks for reading and please share and comment…
