Let’s get Started

Below I have a quick list of things that every business should have done or should be doing from day one if they want to compete locally. Just these alone, can grow your business 100% over time with the right marketing.

You Need a Website

If you don’t have a website in today’s times, you will most certainly struggle to grow your dental practice in Shreveport-Bossier City, or anywhere else in the world. None of the other things that I will be listing will do you any good if you don’t have the right platform in place to educate people about your services.

Throughout the years, I’ve built hundreds of websites for many clients. Most of them ask me beforehand if they need a site when they can use things such as Facebook or Linked-in as their main pages.

What I explain to them is that you want to build a brand for your business, so in the dental industry, you should also be thinking about having something you own, which is a domain name, and getting it in front of your targeted audience.

For this reason, I would like to congratulate a few local dental offices here in my hometown of Shreveport-Bossier City on setting up their websites. These are the few who knew that having a dental site was something that they needed to get the ball rolling on building their brand.

So, for those dental offices that don’t have a website, just think about incorporating this into your budget sometime this year. I don’t want you to miss out on the thousands of people who go online every single month searching for local dental offices here in Shreveport-Bossier City, or even in your city.

Video Marketing

One of the keys to success as a dental office is to be able to connect with people through videos. People love, and I mean love, to visualize their experience coming into your office. Just this online video will get people on the phone making appointments, seeing how you do business, and how you treat your clients.

Video marketing is one of most used platforms that I see in the dental industry. Yes, you might get some detail websites that may have one video on their page, and from there you won’t see anymore. What you have to do as a practice is to make a conscious effort to produce at least one video per week that can be added to your website, Facebook and shared to those on your list.

When people see this kind of marketing, they’re instantly willing to share that video with other family members and talk more about your practice. This is what we call “Viral Marketing,” where you set up the amazing platform which is the website and videos and allow the people to spread the word.

This video marketing goes a lot deeper than this because I haven’t even mentioned YouTube, which is a platform that I being dominating for years. This is something from a guy who’s created hundreds of videos and gained thousands of clients from them over the years. So as a dental office, this is something that you can’t overlook.

Blogging

Some industries think that blogging is for those people who have entertainment websites, or those people like me who talk all day and night about marketing. No one seems to understand that people are searching for what they need every day online.

Being able to produce content that is centered around your local dental office can mean wonders. Believe it or not, people search by stating a problem, or just asking a question.

For Example, Someone may search by typing this into Google.

  • “Toothache dentist offices in Shreveport-Bossier City.”
  • “dentist offices in Shreveport-Bossier City.”
  • “Shreveport Dentist Offices”

You see, people search the internet in a variety of ways, but at the same time, they need a dentist. Blogging gives you the platform to write educational content that people are searching for. After they do a local Google search, then your material should pop up somewhere in the top results.

The On-Page SEO, titles, and keyword density will play a big part in whether or not your blogging material can rank highly or not. For this reason, I stress to all of my clients to learn how to do keyword research the smart way.

Know that if you do plan on creating a blog on your website, then a self-hosted WordPress website is the way to go.

Social MediaDentist

I’m dumb founded by those businesses, such as the dental practice industry, on how many of them don’t take advantage of social media. From the likes of Facebook, Twitter, Linked-in, and Instagram, there are thousands of potential clients for your dental practice that are just waiting for you to get in front of them.

Social media allows those dentist offices in Shreveport-Bossier City, to market and advertise directly to their targeted market, all from one place.

This Issue.

Sad to say, just by having a Facebook page for your dentist office is not enough. I checked out a number of the local dentist websites that I listed above and took a quick peep at their social media accounts. Now, some of them are somewhat doing it the right way, but the others from first glance, I see that they are not taking advantage of what’s given to them.

When there is no engagement on the page, and all I see are short posts about things that the potential clients don’t care about, then I start to wonder how can this dentist office change up their marketing?

The key to having a successful Facebook dentist page, and grow your clientele at the same time, is by offering things of value. First, that comes in the form of great content that is posted on your website and shared on your social media platforms also.

Next, comes the posting tons of photos of happy clients inside your place of business. Plus, also asking those clients to like your page, and share photos of themselves and the content you posted. You can go a step further by asking your clients questions on your page where they can respond, and you can reply in return.

One of the most awesome things that you can also do is giving out coupons on your page. People can print them out directly from the page, and come in to redeem them. It could be just $5 or $10 off of your next teeth cleaning…. use your imagination.

Finally, you can take advantage of the advertising parts of Facebook. This is powerful because now you can spend a little money to place your dental practice in front of thousands of people.

Build Online Presence

The question is, who needs to build an online presence? Well, the simple answer is that anyone who has targeted customers or clients who can find them online. I tell all of my clients to just Google their company name, and see what comes up.

Now, if your dental practice is like all of the others, you may see a few listings from a YellowPages listing, to maybe a manta.com, or just one of those listings that are automatically created. To be able to be found, you must be in the places people are searching to be seen.

The thing is that you must get your dental practice on hundreds of these websites to even have somewhat of an effect. What you need to do is take action. Once you can start marketing your business in the right fashion, is when you will see growth overall.
